5 Guacamole Twists You Won’t Want to Miss For Cinco De Mayo!

It’s Cinco De Mayo so you know there will be two things on the menu. 1) Margaritas, and 2) Guacamole. If you have your Bibo, the margarita part is well-covered. And while there is absolutely nothing wrong with a straight up bowl of creamy-chunky guac, there are a lot of great bloggers creating some fun twists on this Mexican classic.

Julie over at Yellow Bliss Road makes a Guacamole Shrimp Bruschetta that we are dying to try. The pretty pink shrimp look fantastic against the pale green of the avocado.

At Lemon Tree Dwelling, Cathy mixes the notion of Caprese Salad with guacamole in Caprese Guacamole, studded with little balls of fresh mozzarella. A little Italian-Mexican fusion thing going on.

Rene at Eat Style Create amps up her guacamole with black beans and corn. Style and substance.

At Peach and Plenty two of the best-loved dips become one in Creamy Avocado Hummus. Who says you have to choose.

Charred Jalapeño and Peach Guacamole might sound a bit out there at first, but it looks gorgeous and upon further thinking it’s probably going to be fairly awesome, so we’re adding it to the list of want-to-trys. This one comes courtesy of Chelsea at The Whole Bite.
